Hotel and Foodservice Management Major

Career opportunities for graduates in hotel and foodservice management extend far beyond the management of individual restaurants and lodging facilities. Opportunities exist on corporate staffs, as consultants, working for vendors who supply hospitality products and services, and as entrepreneurs who want to own and operate their own business.

Students in this program are exposed to all aspects of the hospitality industry and develop critical skills required in today's workplace. Classes include introduction to hospitality industry, food principles, meal services management, foodservice operations, hotel/motel operational management, hospitality industry law, purchasing, and hospitality marketing.  Students often graduate with a minor in business by adding additional general business courses to their course of instruction.
